Nonprofit arts leader Susan Visser joined the Goshen Theater in January as the new executive director.

“Susan’s experience in nonprofit management, grant writing, and fundraising will be a tremendous asset to Goshen Theater,” Julia Gautsche, chair of the Goshen Theater board of directors, said. “During her tenure at the South Bend Museum of Art, the annual operating budget increased from $140,000 to just under $1 million, and they completed a capital campaign to raise $2 million for renovation, expansion, and endowment.”

Ms. Visser brings extensive experience managing museums of varying sizes, including the last 34 years as executive director of the South Bend Museum of Art. She holds a B.A. degree in Fine Arts from Marietta (Ohio) College and an M.A. in History of Art from Ohio State University.
