Goshen Theater Summer Drama Club is a unique 3-week virtual program focusing on fine arts learning, fun, and performance.
Participants will learn about the theater, design, storytelling, history, and team-work with instructors via live-stream and video lessons. As part of the virtual drama club art supplies, course materials, and a whole lot of fun will be delivered to your home or will be available for pick-up at the Goshen Theater June 19 – 21.
Professional instructors and local educators will be the guides for this one-of-a-kind program culminating in a live individual performance on the Goshen Theater Stage! Each student’s individual performance will be filmed by a professional videographer, to create a video showcase that will include highlights from the summer program, student artwork and theatrical designs, and much more.
A unique approach
Goshen Theater Summer Drama Club isn’t just focused on performers. Our students will learn about all aspects of the production and will help create and design their final show!
From program design to costumes, and scenic painting, the Goshen Theater Summer Drama Club is for youth, by youth.
We believe that practical, hands-on creativity is the best way to learn, and you’ll be surprised how much theater arts can teach about math, science, English, writing, and creative problem-solving.
Join us on an introductory Zoom Call to learn more about the GT Summer Drama Program, to register (if you haven’t already), hear a presentation from our instructors and staff, and ask your questions about the club. Bring the students along!
Ages 8 – 11: 9a – 12p
Ages 12 – 14: 1p – 5p
Our first day with the club! What a great day to meet everyone! Classes will be held via Livestream where each instructor will teach the group lessons every day of Drama Club. Each student will have an option for some private online coaching and voice lessons with our instructors conducted via Zoom meeting.
9 a – 12 p for ages 8 – 11
1 – 5p for ages 12 – 14
Each student will present something on their own, and will also present the group songs/dance (if they are comfortable with that). We have a professional videographer on staff who will film the students individually (possibly at the Theater, or their home, or an outdoor location), and we will edit the video into a final showcase.
Deadline for Registration is Friday, June 10
